Creative Landmark Installation Design
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, and the subsequent Christmas and New Year holidays, SquareM was highly honored to be appointed by the Kwun Tong Home Affairs Department to create a brand-new, highly popular photo landmark at Kwun Tong Town Centre: the 3D “KWUN TONG” luminous installation and the “Kwun Tong” neon sign.
This was not just a one-off event, but a sustained, long-term campaign designed to inject ongoing vitality into the community. From initial concept design, physical production, and complex licensing applications, to final on-site installation, the SquareM team provided a true one-stop management solution. We successfully orchestrated a grand lighting ceremony officiated by top government officials, seamlessly revamped the installations with winter and Christmas themes as the seasons changed, and curated weekend stage performances. Together, we transformed this mega installation into Kwun Tong’s most iconic gathering spot, connecting the community with collective memories and festive joy.
Festive Revamp & O2O Activation
Our team meticulously designed a dual-perspective 3D “KWUN TONG” luminous sign (perfectly readable from both the front and a bird’s-eye view), paired with a bespoke “Kwun Tong” neon sign that encapsulates the district’s iconic architecture and collective memories. This design fully showcased the multifaceted and unique beauty of Kwun Tong.
The initial lighting ceremony was a grand affair, graced by Ms. Alice Mak, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, alongside numerous government officials. SquareM executed every detail with absolute precision—from VIP seating arrangements, stage lighting, and audio-visual effects to cultural performance coordination and professional on-site video production.
To sustain the public’s enthusiasm, we infused the installation with Christmas and New Year elements alongside brand-new lighting effects during the winter season. We also organized twilight street performances on weekends and public holidays. Furthermore, our tech team developed a custom, theme-specific Instagram (IG) Filter, successfully driving the festive atmosphere to its peak through a highly engaging Online-to-Offline (O2O) interactive model.
